Description

Besides various waterfowl, game birds, pigeons, crows, and songbirds, there are also some birds of prey and the shy capercaillie. You can also find some exotic peacocks who like to show off now and then. There is also a bee colony and an ant colony, as well as free-roaming rabbits and the amusing running ducks. Informational boards provide details about animals, the environment, and nature.

A big hit with the kids is feeding the ducks – but please only with special food from the Waldvogelstation to ensure the animals stay healthy.

School children have the opportunity to earn a nature explorer diploma and learn many interesting things about nature and environmental protection.

The barefoot path is a sensory experience. Here you can feel different ground textures with your bare feet. The barefoot path stimulates the body and strengthens the immune system.

Some benches invite you to relax, and there are picnic spots in the bird station to complete your visit.
