Description
From stream to stream – across hills and valleys
In Enkering, a place has been created where children and adults can play all year round. Surrounded by the many waters and springs in Enkering, "water" became the main theme of the play area. The Mühlbach and Sollache streams are now connected by a newly created, meandering watercourse where children and adults can experience water in its various forms throughout the seasons. Built-in weirs, an Archimedean screw with additional design elements, and gravel-designed shores offer plenty of inspiration to discover and experience the element "water" through play. At the same time, awareness of the valuable resource water and the environment is to be strengthened. Long logs lie like driftwood in the wave-shaped terrain, inviting balancing as well as lingering. With additional elements for climbing, jumping, swinging, and balancing, children and adults can test their senses, move playfully, and embark on adventures. The existing old fruit trees can also be experienced in their seasonal variations. On hot days like this summer, they provide cool shade. The design team deliberately refrained from including slides and other play equipment, as these can be found at other playgrounds nearby. Benches invite you to sit and relax. Connecting the two streams allows all generations to go "from stream to stream" and "across hills and valleys" of the gently rolling terrain, which is now ready to be explored.
