Webmuseum "De Weevstuuv"

Description
The Webmuseum „De Weevstuuv“ has preserved the East Frisian hand-weaving tradition since 1999. Here you can explore old looms and weaving tools and get hands-on yourself. 🧵
Visitors have the chance to weave themselves on a fully equipped loom under the guidance of an expert and create personal items like scarves, towels, runners, or fabric pieces to take home.
For beginners, there are weaving courses covering basics such as warp calculation, loom preparation, pattern reading, different weaves, material knowledge, and finishing techniques. Advanced weavers can attend themed courses to deepen their skills.
Another special benefit: the museum workshop offers a wide selection of handwoven textiles for home and clothing. If desired, you can also have a custom piece woven to your own design.
The museum focuses on community learning – people of all ages are welcome to gather, watch, try, and learn together.
