Weltspielplatz im Treptower Park

The Weltspielplatz im Treptower Park is the largest playground co-designed by children, bringing kids from all over the world together to play and grow up side by side – regardless of background.

Here you'll find unique play equipment inspired by the ideas and symbols of different continents: from skyscraper climbing towers for North America, a soccer field with Aztec treasures for South America, to a large climbing Ayers Rock for Australia and a giraffe climbing tree for Africa.

At the heart of the playground is a meeting point representing the North Pole, as well as a covered seating area that symbolizes the Northern Lights and offers a great view of all the continents. Blue paths divide the continents – symbolizing oceans – and are easy to cross, encouraging crossing borders and promoting international understanding and cultural tolerance.

This playground is more than just a place to run wild – it is an educational space that fosters social skills, coordination, and active exploration. The design was developed through workshops with 11- to 16-year-olds from 12 nations at the Berlin Brandenburg International School, blending creativity with their vision of the world.

• Asia delights with a jungle park, climbing course on the Great Wall, and a tiger figure to climb and slide down

The Weltspielplatz im Treptower Park is located in a family-friendly, idyllic green area of Berlin with restaurants, boat rentals, large meadows, and water spaces. In the evening, the concert of the city's largest nightingale population creates a special experience 🎶.
