Description
At WIENXTRA-Jugendinfo, the children's and youth service of the City of Vienna, children and young people aged 6 to 26, as well as parents and guardians, can find a place where counseling, learning and leisure come together. You can come with questions on any topic, such as identity, school, family, work or housing. Trusted contacts such as youth workers or teachers may also come along to counseling.
The services include counseling on any legal question, such as summonses from police or court, preparing for a witness statement, debt collection letters or terminating a rental agreement. A member of the Jugendinfo team is also on site, so other questions can be answered right away. There is also a clothing swap party, where well-kept clothing is exchanged for new favorite pieces. There is also information on EU programs and European-funded volunteer projects. Counseling is confidential, and information is not passed on to third parties.
WIENXTRA is Vienna's children's and youth agency, working with the City of Vienna. Several venues run under its name, each with its own programme for children, teenagers and families – from children's cinema and games afternoons to media workshops and advice.
