Wild- und Erlebnispark Daun

Wild- und Erlebnispark Daun is set in a vast, natural landscape in the Vulkaneifel region. An eight-kilometer-long drive-through trail winds through forests, streams, and ravines: this is the perfect place for families with children to get up close to animals. There are stopping points with viewing platforms and feeding stations, so you can enjoy close encounters with the animals again and again.

Visitors can experience the autumn rut or the adorable young animals up close. At Wild- und Erlebnispark Daun, you'll find mouflons, wild yaks, llamas, and rheas, as well as red deer, fallow deer, wild boars, and more—they roam the forests and are curious about their human guests. In a ravine filled with ancient beech trees, which can be explored on foot, lively Barbary macaques frolic and watch visitors closely.

The large birds of prey enclosure and falconry present breathtaking flight shows featuring these feathered acrobats, along with plenty of information about the natural rulers of the skies.

The park's restaurant, adventure playground with many imaginative structures (including a huge wavy slide), and a petting farm with small animals eager to be cuddled make a year-round visit an unforgettable fun experience for the whole family.

Right outside the park gates is an 800-meter-long summer toboggan run that offers a winding ride down through meadows and forest. You can control the speed yourself, and a comfortable transport system takes you back up to the airy starting point.
