Description

Red deer, wolves, eagle owls, garden dormice, and many more – a total of 21 native species can be admired and experienced at WildtierPark Edersee, a facility of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park.

A highlight is the flight show by the Greifvogelschutz Edersee. Against the backdrop of the Edersee with its dam and Waldeck Castle, falcons, kites, and buzzards perform spectacular flight maneuvers. The flight show takes place daily from March to October except on Mondays, at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The residents of WildtierPark can be observed throughout the year. The 2.5-kilometer circular trail through the WildtierPark is suitable for wheelchair users and families with strollers.

Less experienced wheelchair users or people with mobility impairments or unsteady gait can borrow an electric scooter free of charge at the BuchenHaus. This allows them to explore WildtierPark Edersee independently. Reservations are recommended.

Please note that dogs are not allowed inside any of our facilities. Dog boxes are available free of charge near the entrance at WildtierPark Edersee. Please feel free to ask the ticket staff.

Last admission: one hour before closing time
