Description

The Yburg is a distinctive castle ruin on a hill near Baden-Baden 🏰. For families the site offers wide, child-friendly views and plenty of space that you can explore with your children.

  • On the spacious ruins area of about 150 × 32 meters your children can run around freely.

  • 112 steps lead up to the lookout tower, accessible since 1985, at around 20 meters high.

  • From above you have an impressive 360°-panorama over the Rhine Plain and the Black Forest 👀.

  • The about 20 meters high keep of porphyry and sandstone tells of medieval walls, war damage and lightning strikes.

  • At the Schweizerhaus (1892) you can refresh yourselves after exploring.
