Description
The Železniční muzeum moravskoslezské invites you on a journey through the history of the railway. Even before your visit, you can explore the museum online: a presentation video and a virtual tour give an impression of what awaits on site.
The museum is currently being modernized, and several new features are being added in the process:
- Interactive digital boards that clearly explain railway history and technical connections
- Restoration and new construction of parts of a steam locomotive
- Revived model railways
- QR codes that let you access additional information about individual exhibits
The exhibition also shows railway lines that once supplied mines and steelworks, as well as lines that were lost through war or later changes. This makes tangible the role the railway played in mining and steel production.
