Located in the heart of the "Alte Burg" recreational area, the ten-hectare forest park offers pure relaxation and enjoyment of nature with its large trees and spacious grounds.

Among the zoo's approximately 500 residents are magnificent tigers, the brown bear pair Mette & Bambam, a white lion, an adorable meerkat colony, camels, zebras, antelopes, flamingos, snowy owls, and much more. A special highlight is the "Little Tropical House." Here you can admire Nile fruit bats in twilight, tropical freshwater fish, dwarf crocodiles, and giant snakes.

On the zoo grounds, the Jungle Café offers a wide range of culinary delights. Right next door, a large playground invites climbing and playing. Numerous other play areas, petting enclosures with goats and mini pigs, and the integrated planetarium make the visit a memorable experience for the whole family.
