Zwei-Siele-Museum

Description
At the Zwei-Siele-Museum, you can experience maritime treasures from the age of sailing ships up close. The historic, listed Wiechers-Huus from 1696 creates an authentic atmosphere where you can discover the lives of captains and fishermen.
One highlight is the original captain's house, furnished as it was about 100 years ago – here you learn how captains lived and how simple methods made the construction of sailing boats possible. The exhibition also explains why there were two adjacent sluices at this location – a special regional unique feature.
In addition to the permanent exhibition, there are regularly changing special exhibitions about coastal culture and regional topics. A highlight includes historic film screenings such as "Am Siel" from 1962, showing authentic coastal life.
