The Children's and Youth Theater Festival

Since 2003, the Children's and Youth Theater Festival has taken place in our region. Originally only in Bühlertal and Ottersweier, the festival is now organized by six communities – Bühlertal, Kappelrodeck, Lauf, Ottersweier, Sasbachwalden, and Sasbach. The festival has become a key cultural event in our region and takes place every two years. The festival’s main idea is to introduce children and young people in our region to a variety of theater forms and give them the opportunity to engage with the themes of the performances away from smartphones, tablets, TV, and the internet. In some performances, the audience has been directly involved in the play, and it is often possible to talk with the actors after the show.
