Description

The Christmas Market at the Zechenwerkstatt Dinslaken offers a diverse range with around 50 stands featuring handcrafted goods such as woodwork, jewelry, felt art, textiles, ceramics, and paper art. The selection is complemented by culinary specialties like mustard, jams, sweet vinegars, and herbal oils. Organizations such as UNICEF, NABU, and the Eineweltladen Dinslaken also participate. A musical program with performances by the brass circle of the Protestant Church of Dinslaken City Center and the Voerde Trombone Choir creates a festive atmosphere. Outside, a yurt with a campfire invites you to linger, while children can listen to Christmas stories and bake stick bread in the afternoons. A petting zoo with sheep and donkeys completes the offering. The neighboring frei.art gallery and the Zeloh restaurant are also open during the market. The event is organized by Freilicht AG, which has enriched cultural life in Dinslaken for over 20 years. The Zechenwerkstatt, taken over by Freilicht AG in 2016, impresses with its industrial charm and offers a special ambience for events. Although the hall is unheated, it reliably protects against wind and rain and transforms into an atmospheric place full of pre-Christmas discoveries during market days.
