Founded in 1953 as the "Police Music Corps," the symphonic wind orchestra quickly established itself as an ideal link between the citizens and the police.

Through guest performances across Germany and in other European countries, as well as numerous appearances on radio and television, the Rhineland-Palatinate Police Orchestra has gained special recognition.

The orchestra is part of the Police Headquarters for Operations, Logistics, and Technology of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate and has been under the direction of Florian Weber since March 17, 2025.

The repertoire of the 37 professional musicians is as diverse as the orchestra's tasks. It ranges from classical symphonic music to contemporary original compositions and from traditional march music to entertainment music.

Admission to the benefit concert in Schweich is free, with donations going to the Youth Rock-It association.

Youth Rock-It is a still young organization dedicated to promoting inclusion through music. Several members of the Stadtkapelle Schweich volunteer with Youth Rock-It, leading to a successful cooperation between the association and the Stadtkapelle Schweich in recent years.
