On the first Advent weekend, November 28 and 29, 2026, Dobel celebrates the start of the Advent season with its charming Advent Market around the Kurhaus and village square.

When the aroma of mulled wine and grilled sausages fills the streets, colorful lights sparkle among the fir branches, and music fills the square, it’s Advent Market time again in Dobel. On Saturday, November 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 9:30 PM, and Sunday, November 29, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the Dobel community warmly welcomes visitors from near and far to a special weekend full of atmosphere, crafts, and moments of delight.

A beloved tradition of the Dobler Advent Market is the visit from Saint Nicholas, who strolls through the market on Saturday from 3:00 PM and Sunday from 2:00 PM, bringing a small surprise for all the children. In the Elf Workshop on the Kurhaus stage, little guests can get creative, make crafts, and let their imagination run free.

Inside the festively decorated Kurhaus, visitors will find a wide variety of handicrafts, decorations, and regional products. Lovingly crafted lanterns, watercolor paintings, wood and concrete works, crocheted items, jewelry, doll clothes, Advent arrangements, felted goods, liqueurs, and honey products invite browsing, discovery, and gift-giving. The Kurhaus becomes a true paradise for anyone looking for handmade treasures and creative gift ideas.

The village square is all about meeting and connecting. This year again, the Hungarian partner town Tótvázony will have its own booth. For your culinary pleasure, Dobel’s local clubs and restaurateurs offer a diverse selection of savory and sweet specialties: musician’s bratwurst, steak sandwiches, fries, tarte flambée, wild game bratwurst in a roll, as well as hot cocktails, wild game specialties, alpaca products, sweets, and of course, mulled wine in different varieties.
