The Karlsruhe Christmas Market has a long tradition and delights numerous visitors every year. With a festive atmosphere on the Market Square and Friedrichsplatz, the city center transforms into a winter wonderland.
The Karlsruhe Christmas Market invites you from November 23 to December 23, 2026, in the heart of the city – on the Market Square, the Friedrichsplatz, and the Children’s Land on St. Stephan’s Church Square – to explore and enjoy.
At the Light Christmas on the Market Square, visitors can enjoy a special program around the pyramid with lovingly decorated stalls. In the communal huts on the Market Square, changing artisans showcase their handcrafted offerings.
The festively decorated gabled huts in the romantic Forest Christmas on Friedrichsplatz tempt visitors with hearty and sweet specialties from around the world. The covered seating area of the “Karls-Ruhe-Plätzle” invites you to relax in comfort.
#### The Ferris Wheel
Enjoy the beautiful view of the CHRISTMAS CITY Karlsruhe high above the rooftops in the enclosed gondolas of the Ferris wheel, even in wind and weather. All gondolas are wheelchair accessible.
#### The Flying Santa Claus
Daily, high-wire artist Falko Traber, also known as the “Flying Santa Claus,” soars with his reindeer sleigh over the Market Square at 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM.
