Eibenstocker "Märchenweihnacht"

After the traditional lighting of the large local pyramid at the church square, the big Eibenstocker fairy tale parade begins each Saturday before the first Sunday of Advent around 2:00 PM, with about 300 performers traveling through the town on horse-drawn carriages, horse wagons, flatbed vehicles, or on foot, accompanied by several brass bands. On the large stage at the cozy family Christmas market, various programs take place on Saturday and Sunday, offering entertainment for children and the whole family, as well as typical traditional Erzgebirge performances, such as those by the Erzgebirge Ensemble Aue.
