Eifel Volcano Breakfast

The departure from Brohl is at 10:15 AM, and boarding is possible at any other station as well. The first leg lasts about 50 minutes in the historic carriages to the Oberzissen station below Olbrück Castle, where you arrive at 11:07 AM.

A nearby restaurant then welcomes you with a rich breakfast buffet featuring many regional delicacies. Take your time and thoroughly enjoy your breakfast! We wish you a good appetite!

Afterwards, you can choose whether you

a) take the return trip to Brohl am Rhein at 12:55 PM (arriving at 1:40 PM),

b) after a walk or hike on the 8 km "Oberzissen Circular Route," continue at 3:10 PM via the steep route to the final station Engeln, located 459 meters high, and return to Brohl from there (arriving in Brohl at 5:40 PM), or

c) spend more time in Oberzissen, for example visiting Rodder Maar or Olbrück Castle, and take the train back to Brohl at 4:55 PM (arrival at 5:40 PM).

Fare

There is an attractive combined ticket for the train ride and the Eifel Volcano Breakfast: only €45.00 for adults and €22.50 for children (6-15 years). Your ticket is valid as a day pass for the entire Brohl - Engeln route.

Registration is required to participate in the farmer’s breakfast.
