Juniper Conservation Meeting Wacholderwacht Osteifel
Description
A key part of this work involves regular outings where larches, pines, and birches are removed to protect the juniper populations and maintain open heathland areas. These so-called clearing actions are necessary to promote biodiversity and secure habitats for rare plant and animal species.
The events are aimed at anyone interested in nature and who wants to get involved – regardless of prior experience. Tools are provided; participants only need to bring work gloves. In addition to the conservation work itself, the meetings offer an opportunity to exchange ideas, network, and enjoy a relaxed social gathering.
Anyone who enjoys community involvement and connecting with nature is welcome to join. Wacholderwacht is grateful for every helping hand.
The current meeting point is always the Wacholderwagen in Arft.
