Family Adventure Hike

We invite you to an exciting adventure hike for families where we will explore Saxon Switzerland together along adventurous paths. Look forward to varied trails, fascinating impressions, and beautiful views, as well as plenty of interesting information about the nature, culture, and history of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains.

This guided hike includes small climbing sections on the side and a few simple caves, specifically designed for families with children, but patient adults will also find this tour a real experience!

Requirements for participants:

normal fitness, sure-footedness & no fear of heights required

suitable for sure-footed & enduring children from 6 years old

hiking experience: over 5 kilometers distance

climbing experience: not necessary

Important notes:

refreshment stop after two thirds of the tour (table reservation)

hiking clothes recommended but not mandatory

sturdy, profiled footwear is required

Meeting point: Kleinhennersdorf hiking parking lot (paid – small change!!!)

When?: In March + October during school holidays every Tuesday from 10:00 to about 16:00

Distance: approx. 5 kilometers with 300 m elevation gain

Maximum 12 participants (from 6 years old)

Duration: approx. 6 hours (including breaks)

Cancellation policy: free cancellation up to 3 days before the event starts

Final notes:

The organizer reserves the right to exclude participants on the day of the tour due to insufficient equipment or suitability for the tour. The organizer also reserves the right to cancel the tour due to bad weather. In both cases, the participation fee will be refunded to the participant. Reimbursement of other costs that may have been incurred for travel, accommodation, equipment, etc., is excluded, unless these services were also arranged by the organizer.

The organizer has special liability insurance for damages caused by participants. Nevertheless, participation in the tours is always at your own risk, so it is recommended that each participant has comprehensive private accident insurance.
