Lingen Christmas Market

Each year, the Lingen Christmas Market transforms the city center into a magical winter wonderland. This year, the Christmas market is open from November 23 through December 27, 2026.

A special feature is the largest covered ice rink in the Emsland region, inviting visitors to skate regardless of the weather. It is open to all ice skating fans. The ice program also includes the ever-popular ice stock sport – a tournament is planned again this year.

Additionally, figure skating shows, fire performances, and musical acts provide varied entertainment for all ages on weekends. The full program will be announced shortly before the event begins.

As tradition, the Christmas market features an XXL spruce tree on the marketplace, a large pyramid, a Bavarian hut, and an elk bar. Young visitors can look forward to many surprises, such as the traditional St. Nicholas procession or the daily visits of Santa Claus in his living room every day in December leading up to Christmas.
