OH! You Delicious. Christmas at the Old Crane

OH! You Delicious. Christmas at the Old Crane invites you with lots of heart instead of commerce in the historic setting of the Old Crane on the Ilmenau riverbank in Lüneburg 🎄.

The Christmas market offers regional specialties, handmade crafts, and delicious treats in eight lovingly decorated huts. Here you can find homemade Salzwedel tree cake, pasta served from a giant cheese wheel, freshly grilled local bratwurst, oven-fresh Flammkuchen with various toppings, traditional baked apples made with a family recipe, as well as crepes with coffee and tea.

Special highlights include flame-grilled salmon over an open fire, suckling pig with changing hot soups, and waffles made from flour milled at Meyer’s Windmill. Also very popular is the Feuerzangenbowle in the pavilion, a classic cocktail with wine, winemaker’s grapes, and a “firework” of rum and sugarloaf.

The market invites you to a cozy stroll that is free from a crowded market feel and is open to all visitors at no charge. Families are warmly welcomed, as are well-behaved dogs, for which fresh water is gladly provided 🐾.
