Ranger Tour Gemünd in Nationalpark Eifel

Out among oak forests

Follow winding paths as you climb through oak forests to the heights of the Kermeter. By the end of this roughly three-hour tour, you'll discover the story behind the "Kaisereiche" (Emperor Oak). Please note this hike is considered moderately difficult to difficult due to the elevation changes.

Hard of hearing guests can borrow a portable hearing amplifier if requested in advance. Otherwise, registration is not required for these free tours. We ask that larger groups of 10 or more please notify us in advance at 02444/9510-0.

The ranger tour takes place every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month.

From Cologne, Bonn, Trier, Euskirchen, Kall: From Kall station at 10:30 AM take the SB82 bus (direction Vogelsang I P) to Gemünd Kirche. Hourly departures available.

From Heimbach: From Heimbach station at 10:15 AM (or other stops in Heimbach) take bus line 231 (direction Gemünd, Mitte) to Gemünd Mitte. Hourly departures available.

From Roetgen, Simmerath, Rurberg, Einruhr: Take bus line 63 to Vogelsang IP Walberhof. Change there at 10:08 AM to SB82 (direction Bahnhof Kall) to Gemünd Kirche. Departure at 2:39 PM possible.
