Ride on the historic Kuckucksbähnel

Do you like nostalgia? Then hop aboard the historic "Kuckucksbähnel" and enjoy a journey back in time. The lovingly restored steam locomotive pulls its over-a-hundred-year-old wooden-class carriages leisurely along the Speyerbach through the picturesque Elmstein Valley – an idyllic landscape perfect for beautiful hikes. During the ride, there is catering for your comfort, and you can also take bicycles along easily.

Several departure times are available for the return trip.

Opening hours & admission prices:

You can buy tickets at Neustadt an der Weinstraße main station at the ticket kiosk on platform 5 (also the boarding point), at Elmstein station before departure, and at other stops from the conductor on the train (please note that card payment is unfortunately not possible). NEW! You can now purchase online tickets in advance for trains D4, D5, and D6.
