The timeless Christmas classic returns – more alive than ever. An emotional, rousing experience for the whole family that adds a new highlight to the Advent season.

For more than 50 years "Three Hazelnuts for Aschenbrödel" has been one of the most important traditions of the Christmas season. Millions of people associate the film with their fondest memories of winter days. The musical lets that magic come alive again: from sparkling snowy landscapes to the magnificent castle and the glittering ball where Aschenbrödel and the prince find each other in a touching way.

The iconic title melody by Karel Svoboda – a genuine goosebump moment for generations – forms the musical foundation of the show. It is complemented by fresh, emotional compositions by Thomas Zaufke (Die wunderbare Reise des Nils Holgersson, Grimm! und Preisträger des Deutschen Musical Theater Preises). Together they create a musical experience that perfectly combines nostalgia and new elements and is guaranteed to put the audience in the Christmas spirit.

After the death of her father, Aschenbrödel lives with her strict stepmother, who, unlike her sister Dora, has her work as a servant. Still she dreams of freedom and adventure. When one day her path leads into the snowy forest, she meets the prince – a snowball, a laugh, a glance. When the prince invites her to the ball, her stepmother refuses to let her attend. Thanks to three

magical hazelnuts, Aschenbrödel manages to attend the royal ball in secret. During the dance the prince has eyes only for her, but when the clock strikes midnight, Aschenbrödel loses a shoe on the staircase. A moment that will change her fate forever
