Wattwanderung for Families and Children on Nordstrand

Is the mudflat just sand, water, and endless space? Definitely not! It is a unique habitat when you take a closer look. We invite you on a discovery tour and excite children as they search for traces in the mudflat. Through many games and child-friendly explanations, we describe how the tides form, why crabs have a shell, and go shell hunting together. We will also introduce Willi, the lugworm, during this one to one-and-a-half-hour event. Please make sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing and plenty of sun protection. From October to March, we recommend rubber boots. Otherwise, feel free to go barefoot. And don’t worry, the sandy mudflat in front of Nordstrand is very child-friendly and you only sink in slightly.
