Description

Alpmuseum Tannberg takes you into the life of the mountain farmers of the past – the first open-air museum of its kind at Arlberg authentically shows how alpine farming was managed for over 400 years beneath the steep cliffs of Braunarlspitze.

Here you can experience traditional crafts up close: from traditional cheese making to butter production, everything is brought vividly to life. In the museum you’ll discover atmospheric original buildings like the hayloft, the barn, the cheese dairy, and even the room where up to ten people once slept.

Around the Alpe Batzen, which was farmed until 1998, many hiking trails invite you to explore the impressive mountain scenery of the region – a real adventure for the whole family! 🌄

Guided tours take place in the summer on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, making your visit especially exciting.

The museum has been a protected cultural monument since 2011, preserving the valuable alpine heritage – here tradition and modernity merge in a fascinating way.
