Bauern- und Freilichtmuseum

The Bauern- und Freilichtmuseum Mondseer Rauchhaus offers families many opportunities to explore on the outdoor grounds: historic farmhouses to explore, hands-on stations for children and visual treasures from the archive. At the annual Bauernherbst there are numerous activities and program items to experience on the museum grounds. From the archive come films about local traditions – for example canoe building and cheese festival – as well as a large historical photo collection from 1860 onward. For families there are also Guided tours – also in English that can be adapted to children’s needs. A visit is worthwhile for anyone who likes to look at and touch history. 🐄
