Skywalk Tigerblick on the Baumwipfelpfad
A glass observation platform offers completely new views over the Lüneburg Heath
Now the highest treetop path in northern Germany has gained a thrilling new attraction: an eight-meter-long glass observation platform protruding 20 meters into the wildlife park. It offers a stunning 360-degree panoramic view over the treetops into the tiger enclosure and out across the Lüneburg Heath. While walking the Skywalk is completely safe, you should be somewhat comfortable with heights, since the floor and sidewalls are made of clear glass, giving visitors the sensation of floating above the landscape.
Combination with the Lüneburger Heide Wildlife Park
A common question is: what to do afterward? Here at the Baumwipfelpfad in the Lüneburg Heath, it’s easy. There is a great partnership with the adjacent Lüneburger Heide Wildlife Park. In fact, parts of the path cross over the wildlife park enclosures. The treetop path’s opening hours are linked to the wildlife park’s hours, and visitors benefit from a combined ticket good for both sites. This ensures a fantastic day out.
