Wildpark Lüneburger Heide

Description
What animals can I see at Wildpark Lüneburger Heide? At Wildpark Lüneburger Heide, around 1,200 animals from all over the world live here – from native species to exotic residents. Some of the most popular animals include wolves, moose, lynxes, bears, and Amur tigers. You can also see snow leopards, otters, badgers, wildcats, and wolverines up close. In the spacious enclosures, visitors will also encounter fallow deer, Dybowski's deer, ibex, chamois, and Scottish Highland cattle.
Families will especially enjoy the alpacas, Girgentana goats, Valais goats, Heidschnucke sheep, Husum pigs, and tiger-spotted ponies.
Fascinating birds such as the Andean condor and other birds of prey demonstrate their skills in the daily flight shows (seasonal), while exotic reptiles like bearded dragons, green iguanas, and stick insects await discovery in the terrarium. Wildpark offers a diverse animal experience – from native Heidschnucke sheep to the majestic tiger – bringing nature to life in an impressive way.
Exploring the animal park with a wagon You can rent a wagon for the kids at the entrance. Then you set off through the hilly terrain along a beautiful circular trail. The sometimes very spacious enclosures are beautifully integrated into the landscape. In this wildlife park, you can discover very special animals like snow leopards, brown bears, coatis, wolves, moose, lynxes, reindeer, wapitis, Arctic foxes, wildcats, raccoons, Poitou donkeys, and prairie dogs.
Restaurants and kiosks to satisfy your hunger There is the Wildpark Restaurant (directly at the main entrance, also with vegan options) and the Elchlodge Restaurant (midway through the park). Additionally, there are numerous small kiosks along the paths.

HUNTERS OF THE SKY (flight show)
Our experienced falconers showcase the speed and agility of eagles, falcons, and vultures in free flight. They share secrets about the world of birds of prey and demonstrate the bond between human and animal in a training session. An impressive performance awaits you here. The birds of prey fly so close overhead that you sometimes have to duck. Michael Kirchner and his team will captivate you with their stories about the birds. Informative and visually stunning!
