Belvedere

Belvedere is a sumptuous Baroque palace with a spacious garden – one of the most impressive buildings in Europe and once the summer residence of the Habsburgs. It houses the world’s largest Gustav Klimt painting collection and showcases art from the Middle Ages to the present day. 🎨🏰🌳

For families there is a broad program: interactive Family Sundays with guided tours and creative workshops that allow children and teenagers to experiment with materials and techniques. The initiative 'Mit Baby ins Museum' offers a one-hour, baby-friendly tour for parents with babies under 1 year; changing tables and bottle warmers are available, and on request there are Junior Guide activity booklets. 👶🖌️

Themed birthday parties, playful exhibition tours, workshops and discussion rounds with contemporary artists are offered. Kinder.Kunst.Wochen are creative holiday camps for children aged 7–11 years (July and August). Admission to all Belvedere museums is free for children and youths under 19. 🎉👩0 🎨

Belvedere 21 shows contemporary art, and the sculpture garden is freely accessible. There are also digital and playful offerings such as Art Leap or Mission Museum for families. 🏛️🗿
