Description
Berggarten, located in the Herrenhausen district of Hanover, was created on the gentle slope of an Ice Age sand dune. It evolved from a vegetable and nursery garden into a botanical garden. The rainforest house built here in 2000 was converted into an aquarium in 2006. Along with the Great Garden, Georgengarten, and Welfengarten, it is part of the Herrenhausen Gardens.
