Set against the impressive backdrop of the Hillesheim city wall lies Bolsdorfer Tälchen, a recreational area offering a wide range of activities. Hiking, cycling, jogging, and walking paths of varying lengths, including the Eifelsteig and the Kalkeifel bike route, wind through the picturesque valley. Numerous informational boards along the integrated forest-ecological trail, as well as the information pavilion by the lake, provide extensive insights into geology, ecology, and the valley’s themed trails. A special highlight is the barefoot path, which offers a varied sensory experience over 1.5 kilometers with 22 stations. This route provides a gentle to firm foot massage and encourages a rediscovery of the natural feeling of bare feet.
