## Short Description

Historic steam plows, tractors, and a crop garden: The regional museum focuses on the history of agriculture and the people of the Magdeburger Börde.

## Description

Diversity and quality inspire at the Börde-Museum Burg Ummendorf. It's not the spectacular but the small discoveries and experiences that make the castle so unique. Its origins date back to the 12th century. It was later expanded and remodeled. The mighty castle tower is open to the public.

At the castle museum, you'll find the newly designed permanent exhibition, historic vehicles and tools, and exhibits on regional salt mining. There are also changing special exhibitions. The castle garden presents a wild romantic atmosphere: sculptures by various artists and an herb garden can be admired here. Whether parsley, parsnip, or sweet cicely – so you don’t just look, you can experience what makes these plants special yourself at several touch and smell stations. The herb garden as well as the exhibition rooms on the ground and upper floors are wheelchair accessible.
