Bürgerpark und Bürgerhaus

The Bürgerpark is centrally located in the heart of the Münchweiler an der Rodalb community, right next to the train station. It is accessible from both Hauptstraße and Hanauer Straße and features a small, picturesque lake as well as a variety of playgrounds, sports, and recreational facilities. The Bürgerhaus of the community is also located here and can be rented for events by the municipal utilities (Email: verwaltung@gemeindewerke-muenchweiler.de). In front of it stands the sculpture of the "Kienholzhacker," which recalls the times when Münchweiler was known for selling "Kienholz" (thin pieces of wood used for lighting fires). Adjacent to the Bürgerpark is the sports center with the Rotensteinhalle (badminton, soccer, etc.), the hard-surface soccer field of FV Münchweiler e.V., and the facilities of the Grün-Weiß Münchweiler tennis club. In the immediate vicinity of the Bürgerpark are the beautiful St. Georg parish church with the Peace Cross on Römerstraße and the community’s town hall at Schulstraße 19. Ample free parking for visits to the Bürgerpark is available in front of the Bürgerhaus and the Rotensteinhalle. There are also motorhome parking spaces and a charging station for electric vehicles here.
