Description
The Broich-Speldorfer Wald is the part located within the Mülheim area of a contiguous forest region covering around 39 km² between the cities of Duisburg, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Ratingen, and Düsseldorf. Most of the forest is owned by the city of Mülheim and, together with the Lintorfer Mark, forms a roughly 900-hectare protected landscape area used for forestry, but primarily serves as a local recreation destination thanks to its dense network of paths – alongside the Duisburg City Forest.
