Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord

Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord is a roughly 180-hectare park surrounding a disused ironworks in Duisburg-Meiderich, created as part of the International Building Exhibition Emscher Park. The park is one of the key sites on the European Route of Industrial Heritage as well as the Industrial Heritage Trail in the Ruhr region. Since 2022, it has been protected as a historic garden monument. The British daily newspaper The Guardian ranks Landschaftspark Nord among the top ten city parks in the world. It is mentioned alongside the High Line, Buttes-Chaumont (Paris), Hampstead Heath (London), and Park Güell (Barcelona).
