Description

Cohn-Scheune Rotenburg is a historic building originally built in 1834 as a farmhouse barn and later transformed into a Jewish museum and cultural workshop using original materials. It vividly presents the history of the Cohn family and Jewish life in Rotenburg.

Families can gain cultural and educational insights through regular events and special exhibitions. For example, there are exhibitions featuring artworks by Perli Pelzig, offering an exciting look into Jewish art and culture.

Especially engaging for older children and teenagers are cultural-literary events such as readings about Else Lasker Schüler, bringing Jewish poetry to life. The museum also covers important historical events like the Kindertransporte of 1938/39 to Great Britain – a moving way to explore Jewish history together.

For families who prefer to experience the museum comfortably from home, there is also a virtual exploration that allows interactive discovery. This way, the historic building and its stories can be enjoyed in a playful way. A visit is well worth it! 🎨
