Description

The Historisches Museum Domherrenhaus invites you to embark on an exciting journey through the history of Verden and its surroundings. The museum is located in an impressive courtyard complex dating from 1708 and features exhibitions on cultural history and ethnology.

A special treasure is the Lehringer Lance, one of the oldest hunting weapons in the world. In addition, permanent and rotating exhibitions explore topics such as prehistory, the Verden diocese, city history, traditional craftsmanship, and bourgeois salons of the 18th and 19th centuries.

For a relaxed tour, an audio guide is available, which can be conveniently accessed via mobile devices. Especially child- and youth-friendly are the exciting museum educational activities that make learning fun.

For children aged 6 to 12 years, the museum offers imaginative birthday parties on themes like pirates, the Stone Age, princesses, and knights – a special celebration experience.

Culturally, you can also enjoy readings, theater performances, club concerts, and event series such as Blue Thursday, Das Museumsgespräch, and BAM!
