Description

Die WEBEREI in Oederan offers an exciting journey through the history of textile craftsmanship and the city.

Highlights include fully functional hand-operated looms, weaving preparation with warp and spool machines, as well as mechanical looms dating from 1920 to 1976. You will also find exhibitions on the city’s and local clubs’ history, a printing workshop, and multimedia stations with touchscreens.

For families, there is a varied program featuring the museum mascot Wuschel, an engaging quiz tour, birthday parties, and special holiday activities for children.

Courses on textile and printing techniques complete the offer and invite you to participate and learn – perfect for visitors of all ages.
