Description

Eckes Hus Ostereistedt offers families a unique chance to dive into life around 1560 and discover the oldest farmhouse in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district – without the usual museum simplifications.

The house authentically shows how wealthy farming families lived and worked back then: from the hallway for animals and servants to the Flett, the heart of the house with kitchen and historic cooking area.

Special highlights are the “magic drill holes” – mysterious holes with secret relics in the beams that amaze both children and adults. 🏡✨

The experience is brought to life personally and interactively by dedicated founders and preservationists who share fascinating stories about the history and construction.

The farmhouse grounds are always freely accessible and invite families to enjoy the area even without booked indoor tours.
