The company was founded in 1954 by Jan Kuipers in the Netherlands and was taken over by his son Bennie Kuipers. Today, the company is run by the third generation, the brothers Tom and Bart Kuipers. The total greenhouse area amounts to 87 hectares, and 400 people are employed.
At the Emsbüren site in the Emsland region, significant investments are being made in automation and the expansion of greenhouses.
