A long period of planning and waiting has now come to an end.

Right on February 1, 2022, the excavator arrived so that the groundwork for the new recreational and playground area could begin.

Besides many play structures and a water playground, a large playship will be the centerpiece of the new playground in the future.

The adjoining open space is perfect for ball games and as a sunbathing area on the banks of the Lahn River.

A path will be created for water sports enthusiasts so that, for example, canoes can be brought right down to the Lahn shore.

Benches and an overall well-maintained recreational and riverside area invite you to spend a “day at the Lahn beach” in Obernhof.

Depending on the weather, the recreational and meeting place is expected to open in mid-May.
