The experimenta Science Center invites you to experience science and technology up close. Here you’ll find exciting experiments that inspire awe – for example, how to recognize your own phantom image, when steel breaks, or how well computers understand emotions.

The Science Dome combines a planetarium and theater for a unique experience. There you can take virtual journeys to unknown places and enjoy 360-degree science shows, films, and live demonstrations. The 3D films and shows, such as those about the solar system and the Apollo moon mission, are especially great.

In the well-equipped labs, you can experiment yourself and take on creative projects like coding and sewing in the Maker Space. The new special exhibit 'Giants – Titans of the Past' showcases huge prehistoric animals like giant snakes, megalodons, and mammoths that will make you feel tiny.

The Forum is a free exhibition where you can craft, experiment, and join in. Shows like 'SpectakulAIR – Live', where air and movement play a starring role – including water, fire tornadoes, and a homemade hovercraft – are thrilling for the whole family. The 360° experiences like 'Expedition Reef' about endangered marine ecosystems and 'Eye to Eye with Africa’s Wild Animals' are also impressive.

Families with children from age 6 enjoy films such as 'My Friend Roxy', an exciting story about friendship and curiosity involving a broken robot. From age 10, nature and space topics become even more thrilling.
