Description

The Flößermuseum Unterrodach introduces you to the fascinating history of timber rafting in the Franconian Forest. It is housed in the former home of a rafting master from a respected rafting family – giving your visit an authentic historical setting.

On display are models, tools, and pictures that vividly show how timber rafting shaped many villages and professions in the region. This craft is still passed down by descendants who keep its memory alive.

The museum is run by volunteers from the Historical Rafting Association Unterrodach 1864 e.V. and is one of the lively cultural highlights in the area.
