Freibad Schöppenstedt

Opened in 1960, Freibad Schöppenstedt features a 50-meter swim lane – where else can you find that in the Wolfenbüttel district? – and a 5-meter diving tower. The pool is divided into a swimming and a non-swimming area. Additionally, there is a separate children's pool available. The pool water is heated up to 26 °C using a combined solar heat and gas heating system. Another highlight is the wonderfully large 25,000 m² sunbathing lawn located on a south-facing slope.

For other recreational activities, volleyball, basketball, chess, and table tennis are possible. There is also a playground on site, and nearby you'll find a mini-golf course as well as the Eulenspiegel adventure park. A variety of swimming courses, including aqua jogging, are offered by the local DLRG Schöppenstedt group.
