Freibad Singhofen

Freibad Singhofen, gently nestled in the Dermbach Valley, has been run by the local community of Singhofen since its major renovation in 1996 and is open from May to mid-September. The pool was originally opened in 1968 and was expanded in 1971 with a swimming pool. Three years later, following the implementation of the Transfer of Responsibilities Regulation on September 2, 1974, the pool was transferred to the Verbandsgemeinde Nassau and was returned to Singhofen on September 1, 1996.

With the complete renovation, the service concept was fundamentally changed to offer the population a modern leisure pool while considering financial constraints. The swimming pool was filled in and converted into a surge water basin. The second pool was reduced in size to 25 x 20 m and divided into a swimming area, water depth about 1.4 m, and a non-swimming area, water depth 0.6 to 1.2 m. Along with several water features, a wide slide is the main attraction. The facility is heated using solar technology. These measures allowed for an offer that meets the needs of Singhofen's residents.

The pool is also characterized by its natural setting with large shady lawns. In addition to children's play equipment, there is a large beach volleyball court. A poolside restaurant and a camping site directly adjacent complete the overall offer.

This small, charming outdoor pool is very popular with families.
