Description

The Gesteinsgarten im Pfaffengut Plauen invites families to explore nature. The approximately 5 km long wildlife trail connects the environmental center with the falconry and animal enclosures, featuring interactive animal signs with animated videos to vividly present fascinating nature topics.

The expansion of the wildlife trail with 12 new animal signs showcasing species such as the common toad, badger, and squirrel adds even more knowledge and fun to the adventure.

For kids, there is the Young Nature Guardians program, which playfully introduces nature and environmental protection and encourages discovering the local animal and plant world.

The environmental center offers a wide range of environmental education projects for all ages. Topics like traditional rural life, the four elements, habitats, tracking animals, as well as sustainable themes like renewable energy, global connections, and recycling are presented in an engaging way.

Additionally, two shy wildcats can be observed in the enclosure and are regularly fed on Sundays. Anyone interested can join guided tours on the adventure trail Wildkatzensprung to learn even more about these animals.
