Description

The Glas-Knopf-Museum invites you on an interactive journey back to the 1950s – perfect for visitors of all ages who want to experience how glass beads and buttons are made.

In the original production site, you can discover the heart of the craft: the pressing furnace, which creates the raw shapes for buttons and other glass items.

At the bead-wrapping station, individual beads are made with loving handcraft using the traditional Bohemian crossfire technique. This is where the art of glassmaking comes alive.

Next door, a bead machine demonstrates industrial mass production in various sizes – offering a clear view of the glass bead manufacturing process.

The treasure chamber exhibit showcases a variety of workshop products, from bead necklaces and jewelry to optical glasses and everyday objects.
