Description

The Richard Wagner Museum in Bayreuth invites you to discover the exciting world of the famous composer Richard Wagner! Here, you can expect not only diverse exhibitions but also special educational programs for children and young people.

In the historic House Wahnfried, you can experience Richard Wagner's life and work up close. In the new museum building, you'll learn more about the fascinating history of the Bayreuth Festival, and in Siegfried Wagner's House, you can explore the far-reaching historical impact of his artworks.

This year, the museum celebrates a special anniversary with the program “50/150 – Utopia and Echo,” which honors 150 years of the Bayreuth Festival and 50 years of the Richard Wagner Museum in House Wahnfried. An absolute highlight from the museum's treasures are the original “Rienzi” manuscripts, exhibited for the first time, fitting for this year's premiere at the Bayreuth Festival. 🎶 In addition, creative workshops are offered as part of the anniversary program, such as a set design workshop with Felix Burger, where you can get actively involved yourself.
